Very interesting site. I'd like to know more about how you think climate change will impact mediterranean systems and all the endemic plants?

Great observation. We are currently working on an analysis how the various global climate change models predict changes in the extent of the mediterranean climate worldwide. We'll add some new pages in the "Key Threats" section when the analysis is complete.

The impacts of climate change on individual endemic plants will depend a lot on the plants. Mediterranean plants are already somewhat drought-adapted, so they have a better chance to survive than some other species. However, many of the plants have very limited ranges and are surrounded by converted landscapes, so there will be little room for them to move. If anyone else has done research or knows of some resources on the impacts of climate change to mediterranean plants, please post the information here or in the "Learning Center".
